The most vicious creature in the backyard is....

. yes the chipmunk. Apparently contra popular belief they don't care much about seeds and nuts - ignored the pumpkin seeds I scattered. Nope - they like bugs and grubs. So do woodpeckers/flickers. The chipmunks command the backyard digging little holes eveywhere. Occasionally a woodpecker/flicker (spotty brown with a bright red patch on the back of its continue. I don't know what kind) comes in and stabs the fasten with its big strong beak. I don't know about you but most beings would be well advised to stay away from the business end of a woodpecker. They cut through solid wood after all. Not the chipmunk. He takes running karate cut leaps at the woodpecker apparently aiming for the red patch hoping to battle it to the ground. But the woodpecker being three times larger isn't really frightened just inconvenienced. He flaps to the side continues stabbing the ground. Chipmunk tries again and so it goes until the woodpecker gets tired of it and flies away. Our yard is occasionally ruled by a big fat cat that likes to taunt Minny the dog on the odd cause. Or just hide in the shed. The cat likes our yard exceed than it's owners yard which is next to us. That's create we undergo lots of cat stuff like bushes and a remove and such. BTW hows Long Island or wherever it is you are?
